Dr. Scott Eddy, DMD

Dr. Scott Eddy earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University in 1990 and his DMD from Boston University in 1998, graduating Cum Laude. While at Boston University he was inducted as a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon, and represented Boston University at the American Association of Dental Schools, serving as the Vice Chairman of Council of Students.

From 1998-2007 he served in the U.S. Army, ultimately achieving the rank of Major. He continued his education by completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the U.S. Army Medical Department in Fort Campbell, KY. After completing a one-year residency in general dentistry he served as the dental surgeon for the 5th Special Forces Group. This allowed him to travel overseas to provide dental services for those in need. Dr. Eddy earned his Certificate in Endodontics from the U.S. Army Endodontic Program at Fort Gordon, GA.

After completing his time with the U.S. Army he began private practice at Morrison Dental in Hilton Head, SC. Dr. Eddy is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Association of Endodontists. He attends many lectures and conferences in order to further his education and ensure his patients are receiving the best possible care.

In 2007, Dr. Eddy moved to Pawleys Island and opened Coastal Endodontics, LLC. When he is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh, and their five children. He is very active in Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church and the Pawleys Island community. It is common to see him at many Waccamaw events supporting his children or on the beach with his family.
